In May, the PVA supply side maintained stable production levels, with major factories raising prices. The focus of the negotiations was high, while the end-market remained sluggish. Non-contract buyers had weaker purchasing power. Demand showed no improvement in the short term. Downstream customers continued to make essential purchases.
